Affiliate disclosure.
How this site is funded, and the rules that constrain it.
The short version
FirstPip may earn a commission if a reader opens an account with a broker through a link on this site. Commission never affects a score, a ranking, or what a review says. No broker pays for placement, and no broker sees a review before it is published.
Where affiliate links can appear
Only on broker research pages — reviews and comparisons — and only where the page states it at the top. They never appear on beginner lessons, glossary entries, calculators, or the honest-answer guides. A reader arriving cold with the question "is this a scam" will not be shown a broker link.
Why the restriction exists
A beginner cannot evaluate a broker recommendation before they understand regulation, cost and position sizing. Monetising that moment would work, and it is exactly the practice this site was built against.
What it does not change
Every page remains free, and no content is gated behind a broker sign-up. The review methodology is published before any review, so it cannot be written to fit a conclusion.
Current status
At the time of writing, no broker reviews are published and no affiliate links are live on this site.
