Editorial policy.
How content here is researched, sourced, reviewed and corrected.
Sourcing
Factual claims are traced to a named source — a regulator, a central bank or industry body, a broker's own legal documentation, or a clearly identified secondary source. Numbers are published with the source and the year. Where a figure comes from a single secondary source, we say so rather than presenting it as settled.
What we will not publish
- Profit promises, expected returns, or income claims of any kind.
- Trading signals, or content whose value depends on you outsourcing decisions.
- Numbers we cannot source, including plausible-sounding statistics with no origin.
- Broker claims we have not verified against the regulator's own register or the broker's legal documents.
Conflicts of interest
Where a page contains an affiliate link, it is disclosed at the top of that page. Education pages aimed at beginners carry no broker links. See the affiliate disclosure.
Review and updates
Pages carry an updated date only when the content actually changed — not to appear fresh. Market-dependent figures (costs, regulatory limits) are re-checked on a schedule and re-dated when they change.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, we correct it and note what changed. We do not silently edit a claim out of existence. Reader-reported corrections are treated the same as ones we find ourselves.
AI use
Drafting assistance is used, but no page is published without a human check of every factual claim and figure against its source. Unsourced generated content is not published.
