Risk warning: Forex trading carries a high level of risk. Most retail accounts lose money. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.

Every lesson, glossary entry, calculator and guide on FirstPip is published under one byline. This page explains who that is and the rules it works to.

Who writes FirstPip?

Pages on FirstPip are published by the FirstPip editorial team rather than under individual names. The byline "By FirstPip editorial team" on a lesson, glossary entry, calculator or resource links here. FirstPip is an independent forex education site for people who have never placed a trade, and no broker owns it — see About FirstPip for why it exists.

What the team publishes

The standards every page is held to

  • No profit promises, no income claims, no lifestyle marketing.
  • Every figure carries a source and a date. If we cannot source it, we do not publish it.
  • Risk framing is never removed to make a page more persuasive.
  • Cold, beginner-stage pages carry no broker links at all.

The full rules — sourcing, conflicts of interest, review dates and corrections — are in the editorial policy. How the site is funded is in the affiliate disclosure.

How dates work

Each page shows the date it was last updated. A page is re-dated only when its content actually changed, not to look fresh.

How AI is used

Drafting assistance is used for lessons and guides, and every factual claim and figure is checked against its source before publication. Articles in the News section are different: they are produced with AI from the sources they cite and published automatically after automated checks, and each one carries a note saying so.

What the team is not

The FirstPip editorial team does not give personal financial advice and is not a licensed adviser. Nothing on the site is a recommendation to trade; read the risk disclosure.

Corrections and contact

If something on a page is wrong, tell us through the contact page. Corrections are made openly, as the editorial policy describes.
